On July 17, 2025, the Chinese Customs Authority issued Announcement No. 150/2025. Starting from August 1, 2025, random inspections will be introduced for certain import and export goods that were previously not subject to mandatory inspection.
Purpose of the measure
- Strengthening consumer rights
- Ensuring public safety
- Protecting public health
The legal basis is the “Law of the People’s Republic of China on Import and Export Commodity Inspection” including its implementing provisions.

- 低压电器 (Low-voltage electrical devices)

- 灯具 (Lighting products)
- 低压电器 (Low-voltage electrical devices)
- 功能性服装 (Functional clothing)
With the entry into force of this new regulation, the previously applicable Announcement No. 163/2024 will be repealed.
